How did a planetarium for observing the starry sky become a concert hall? What works of art can be discovered in the Tonhalle? Why is the acoustics in the concert hall so unique today, and why was this not always the case? Kirsten Bernheim, Anja Schaper, Sabine Echterhoff, and Stefan Wego offer regular guided tours of the Tonhalle in German and English, during which you can immerse yourself in the exciting history of the building, take a look behind the scenes, and learn anecdotes from the concert business. The tours usually take place before a symphony concert with the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra. The 60-minute tour takes you through the building, into the backstage areas, and onto the stage. The tour costs €15 per person. Bookings can be made on site at the box office, by email at konzertkasse@tonhalle.de, by phone at 0211. 91387538, or online in our web shop.
